Dear Milwaukee Letter 1: The Daily Bird

My vision is to have a portion of this site that’s dedicated to Milwaukee and the oodles of reasons I love this city. Until then I’ll post my “love letters” to the city here. Today’s highlight is The Daily Bird.

On Sunday I plopped my furball Emma into my car and we drove off to Riverwest for a “destination dog walk” around the artsy neighborhood. Riverwest, what a gem. New yellow signs pop on Center Street. The yellow accents are appropriate since they are for the pop up coffee shop that opened in April AKA this month. The positive signs spread around the corner energizing the area beyond the coffee they serve. I nibbled on a delightful lemon poppy seed muffin while Emma and I strolled the sidewalks. The neighborhood is full of random art. The Daily Bird added a few “You are loved” signs to the neighborhood collection and I adore it.
